Feather takes my breath away! She is everything I dreamed of when I planned this litter. Her beautiful shapely body, wonderful angles and effortless sidegait are truly mesmerizing. In very limited showing Feather claimed her Canadian championship and garnered a Group 1st, Best in Sweepstakes and RWB at the Canadian National Specialty along the way. Noted wins under respected breeder judges in the U.S. include Best In Sweepstakes 2008 Eastern Specialty (j. Chris Durance-Watkins) and Best In Sweepstakes 2008 Southern Specialty (j. Deann Christianson). Feather was expertly piloted to these wins by Lesley Potts. She is owned by James Clever, Stoneledge Whippets.
Late 2010 and early 2011 brought Feather and talented handler Grahm Swayze-Fudge together for a few select events. Memorable wins during this time include BOB at the Northern California Whippet Fanciers Association under judge Age Gjetnes, BOB AWC supported entry Midwest Regional Specialty weekend, breeder judge Connie Alexander and 1st AOM Westminster Kennel Club. Most spectacular was certainly Feather’s being chosen Top Twenty winner at the AWC 2011 National Specialty by quite an esteemed panel of judges: Susan St. John Brown, Kathy Armato and Karen Roberson.
