So aptly named, Mariah bedevils us daily!  She enjoyed wonderful specialty wins in 2014, beginning with her BOB win from the BBE class at the AWC Eastern Specialty under esteemed breeder judge Christy Nelson in an entry of 84 whippets!  She also won Best In Sweepstakes at the Eastern under Frank DePaulo, Tahari Hounds.  At the AWC 2014 National Specialty she followed in mom Calli’s footsteps, winning Best In Futurity, respected breeder Jill Baum adjudicating, and was 2nd in a very competitive BBE class under British breeder judge Pauline Oliver. Under international hound specialist Espen Engh at the AWC Midwest Specialty, Mariah was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Award of Merit to finish!  Her Select Bitch at Eukanuba qualified her for Crufts.

Mariah crossed the big pond in March 2015 to compete at Crufts, the largest dog show in the world. She was awarded Very Highly Commended from the most competitive open class under Italian breeder judge Bitte Ahrens-Primavera.

At the AWC National Specialty 2015 Mariah won the Top Twenty competition, judged by Denise Tatro, Raymond Yurick and Luc Boileau,  as well as 5th Award of Merit under judge Tracy Hite. What incredible honors bestowed by so many whippet specialists!

In August 2015 we traveled north to Canada. Under breeder judge Raymond Yurick Mariah won WB, BOW, Best BBE and BOB at the National Whippet Club of Canada! She finished her Canadian championship in 3 days.

Our adventures continue in 2016, with Mariah winning BOB under breeder judge Doug Broadfoot (Grahm handling) and Group 1st under Linda More (me handling) at the AWC Midwest Specialty in August. In September at the AWC North Central Specialty weekend Mariah won Best In Show under noted hound judge Michael Canalizo! I may never come down from this high!

An exciting breeding is planned for summer 2017!
